Job Title: Senior Associate / Manager – Energy
Location: Raipur (Chhattisgarh) / Ranchi (Jharkhand)
The Energy Specialist/Manager will be responsible for driving CEED’s energy initiatives, providing strategic direction, and ensuring effective implementation of program activities. The role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong policy engagement to contribute to India’s sustainable energy future.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years (Senior Associate)/ 5 years (Manager) of progressive experience in the energy/power sector, with a strong track record in clean energy, energy efficiency, and energy policy initiatives.
- Deep understanding of India’s energy transition landscape, electricity governance, and sustainable development frameworks.
- Proficiency in research and analytical tools, including cost-benefit analysis, policy modelling, impact assessments, etc.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential; working knowledge of Python, GIS, or Matlab is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects, lead teams, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and engage with diverse stakeholders, including Government, policymakers, industry leaders, and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research and policy analysis on clean energy, decarbonization strategies, and electricity sector reforms.
- Supervise and mentor researchers, ensuring methodological rigour and quality assurance in all deliverables.
- Guide the design and implementation of modelling scenarios and impact assessments to inform policy decisions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on developments in state and national energy policies, providing timely strategic inputs.
- Build and manage partnerships with government institutions, regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and civil society organisations.
- Develop high-quality publications, policy briefs, and technical reports to disseminate key insights.
- Represent CEED at national and international forums, presenting research findings and advocating for energy transition priorities.
- Organise and oversee stakeholder consultations, workshops, and capacity-building events.
- Contribute to program-level planning, budgeting, and monitoring processes.
- Support internal knowledge management and cross-program collaboration within CEED.
- Undertake field visits, consultations, and coordination activities across project geographies as required.
Salary:
- Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
