Position Overview:
CEED is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the State Manager for Lucknow. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the development sector, energy issues, environmental sustainability, climate change, and clean air initiatives. The State Manager will play a crucial role in driving CEED’s mission and objectives in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Lucknow office in alignment with CEED’s overall mission and goals.
- Program Development: Design, implement, and oversee programs and initiatives related to sustainable development, energy, environmental conservation, climate change, and clean air and other issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, businesses, and other key stakeholders to foster collaboration and partnerships.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and collaboration within the Lucknow office.
- Resource Mobilization: Identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support CEED’s activities in the state.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Represent CEED in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings, advocating for policies and practices that promote environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of CEED’s programs and initiatives in the region.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: Postgraduate degree in environmental science/management, energy engineering, development studies, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the development sector, with a focus on energy, environment, climate change, and clean air initiatives. Prior experience in a managerial/leadership role is preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local (particularly of Uttar Pradesh) and national issues related to sustainable development, environmental conservation, and energy efficiency.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving organizational objectives.
- Networking: Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to represent CEED effectively in various forums and liaising with the Govt. departments.
