Associate – Field Coordinator – Outreach

Job Purpose:

The Field Coordinator will play a key role in implementing CEED’s outreach and public engagement activities at the grassroots level. The role requires direct fieldwork, community mobilization, government and stakeholder coordination, volunteer coordination, and logistical support for campaigns and programs. The position will ensure strong community connect, stakeholder engagement, and on-ground execution of CEED’s initiatives in Chattisgarh.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize communities and volunteers for CEED’s outreach activities and campaigns at the local level.
  • Conduct awareness drives, workshops, meetings, and events in communities, and public spaces.
  • Assist in volunteer recruitment, orientation, and management to build strong support groups for CEED’s initiatives.
  • Maintain connections with local government officials, CSOs, municipal bodies, and educational institutions.
  • Manage on-ground logistics including permissions, scouting venues, setting up events, and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Support in creating field-level documentation, reports, and photo/video records of activities.

  • Actively participate in daily/weekly team meetings and provide inputs from field experiences to strengthen campaign strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of field/community engagement experience with NGOs, CSOs, or grassroots campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse communities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your work of operation and nearby districts.
  • Knowledge of Chattisgarh’s socio-cultural context and local languages will be an advantage.
  • Basic computer and social media skills for reporting and communication.

Competencies:

  • Energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about community mobilization.
  • Ability to build rapport with communities, volunteers, and grassroots institutions.
  • Hands-on approach with problem-solving skills to manage on-ground challenges.
  • Understanding of environmental issues, clean air/energy, and sustainable development will be a plus.
  • A candidate with own bike is preferred.

Salary:

Negotiable and at par with industry standards.
