Position Overview:

The Associate – Communications oversees all organizational communications work, developing high-quality content for social media, blogs, reports, and event coverage, while building strong relationships with journalists and stakeholders to enhance CEED’s visibility, including proactive media coordination and strategic liaisoning for public relations. 

This position suits creative self-starters with proven writing experience and the ability to manage impactful media engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit engaging, high-quality content across platforms for social media, website, newsletters, blogs, reports and organizational communications.
  • Edit and structure long-form reports, policy briefs, and research publications for clarity, accessibility, and impact.
  • Collaborate with research, marketing, events, and design teams to ensure content consistency across projects.
  • Manage and oversee CEED’s social media accounts to ensure consistent, strategic, and impactful digital engagement.
  • Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure timely dissemination of organizational priorities and campaigns.
  • Research and draft thought leadership pieces, op-eds, and blog articles aligned with CEED’s thematic focus.
  • Lead media coordination and liaisoning by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure consistent coverage of organizational initiatives.
  • Optimize web and digital content for SEO and enhanced online visibility.
  • Proofread and review content for accuracy, flow, and adherence to CEED’s style and tone.
  • Assist in writing event reports, summaries, and key outcomes for stakeholders and external communication.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of professional writing and editing experience (policy, research, or social sector experience preferred).
  • Strong grasp of both long-form (reports, research, op-eds) and short-form (social, web, newsletters) content.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with an eye for detail and narrative flow.
  • Ability to distill complex research into accessible, compelling content.
  • Familiarity with SEO, digital media trends, and content management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

 

Salary:

  • Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
