Location:

Ranchi, Jharkhand

Experience: 7-10 Years

Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s degree in Energy, Environmental studies, Economics, Statistical Analysis and technical background is an added advantage.
  • Desirable Qualification in Sociology, Public policy, or a related field. A PhD is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong focus on Just Transition, energy transition, or related fields.
  • In-depth understanding of the socio-economic dynamics of energy transition, particularly in coal-dependent regions.
  • Proven experience in research, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in fundraising and managing donor relationships is desirable.
  • Commitment to CEED’s mission and values, with a passion for environmental sustainability and social justice.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of CEED’s Just Transition strategy for Eastern India, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on Just Transition issues, including the socio-economic impacts of energy transition on communities in Eastern India, with a focus on coal-dependent regions.
  • Engage with government agencies, policymakers, and stakeholders to advocate for policies that support a fair and equitable energy transition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, industry leaders, and local communities.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of Just Transition programs and initiatives, ensuring they are impactful, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Develop and implement capacity-building programs to equip local communities and stakeholders with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the energy transition.
  • Effectively communicate CEED’s Just Transition work through reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other mediums to influence policy and public opinion.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support Just Transition initiatives, including writing grant proposals and building relationships with donors.
Salary:
  • Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
