Location:
Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Experience: 4-6 Years
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in environmental science, climate studies, sustainability, public policy, or a related discipline. A PhD degree is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in climate change, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- A deep understanding of climate science, particularly as it relates to the socio-economic and environmental context of Raipur and Chhattisgarh.
- A comprehensive knowledge on Climate Policies, National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), State Action Plans on Climate Change (SAPCCs) and other relevant policies related to climate change.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on finding practical, innovative solutions to climate challenges.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools; familiarity with GIS and data analysis tools is an asset.
- A strong commitment to CEED’s mission and a passion for environmental sustainability and social justice.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to climate change projects in Chhattisgarh, ensuring alignment with CEED’s mission and objectives.
- Manage the full lifecycle of climate change projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Act as the primary liaison with local government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to foster collaboration and support for climate initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth research on regional climate issues and use insights to inform project strategies and policy advocacy efforts.
- Design and implement community outreach programs, including workshops and seminars, to engage the public and raise awareness about climate challenges and solutions.
- Support local partners and stakeholders by providing training and resources to strengthen their ability to combat climate change.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned. Prepare comprehensive reports to support CEED’s advocacy and fundraising activities.
Salary:
- Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
