Program and Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and research-driven individual to join our Knowledge Management team. A highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate with a strong background in analyzing and reporting on key development and social issues. The role will focus on building, organizing, and managing knowledge assets derived from social research initiatives. The candidate will play a crucial role in capturing insights, synthesizing research findings that shapes discourse on crucial development challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social/Development Research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a wide range of developmental and social issues in the Indian context, including but not limited to livelihood, governance, poverty, health, gender, and communities.
  • Knowledge Curation & Documentation: Develop evidence-based analytical reports, briefing notes, and policy papers with clarity, accuracy, and attention to narrative and impact.
  • Content Development: Create knowledge products including policy briefs, white papers, best practice documents, infographics, and research papers tailored to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Learning: Work with cross-functional teams to document project learnings, case studies, and success stories. Assist in editing and proofreading reports, articles, and communications content to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Data Management: Support in designing research tools, conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and preparing actionable insights.
  • Support Strategy and Comms: Translate complex research findings into accessible knowledge for program teams, media outreach, and programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in data backed research/ analysis focused on India’s development issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop research-based reports, issue briefs, publications, or papers addressing complex social topics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, research tools (like NVivo, SPSS, Excel), and knowledge repository platforms (preferred).
  • Experience in development or climate-focused organizations is a plus.

 

Salary:
  • Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
