Associate – Development Research

Program and Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and research-driven individual with a strong background in applied economics and development studies to join our Knowledge Management team. The role will focus on building, organizing, and managing knowledge assets derived from social and economic research initiatives. The candidate will play a crucial role in conducting economic analysis, visualizing data, and synthesizing insights to inform policy advocacy, program design, and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
● Social Research & Documentation: Conduct literature reviews, field data analysis, and
thematic studies across key areas such as at the interface of climate resilience and
energy transition, livelihood planning, gender and community empowerment.
● Knowledge Curation: Organize and maintain a repository of reports, case studies,
project documents, tools, and learnings for easy access and reuse.
● Content Development: Create knowledge products including policy briefs, white
papers, SoPs, best practice documents, infographics, and research papers tailored to
internal and external stakeholders.
● Collaborative Learning: Work with cross-functional teams to document project
learnings, case studies, and success stories.
● Data Management: Support in designing research tools, conducting qualitative and
quantitative data analysis, and preparing actionable insights.
● Capacity Building Support: Assist in developing knowledge-sharing tools and
frameworks, including training materials, learning modules, and manuals.
● Support Strategy and Programs: Translate complex research findings into accessible
knowledge for program teams, media outreach, and policy analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements:

● Master’s degree in Development Studies, Rural Management or related fields from
premier institutions.
● 2–3 years of experience in development research, or similar roles.
● Strong analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Willing to travel/field visits in rural areas for research and program purpose
● Proficiency in MS Office, research tools (like NVivo, SPSS, Excel), and knowledge
repository platforms (preferred).
● Experience in development or climate-focused organizations is a plus.

Salary:
  • Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
