CEED’s air quality management programme focuses on facilitating the formulation and effective implementation of Clean Air Action Plan under National Clean Air Program (NCAP) through research and development activities. CEED works with the approach of empowering and capacitating a range of stakeholders on corrective measures and supporting implementing/enforcement agencies for ensuring cross-sectoral emission regime for lesser carbon footprint in IGP.
Key Focus
Research and development activities such as development of emission inventories for GHGs and air pollutants and particulate source apportionment studies as a part of pollution control mandates
Development and facilitation of implementations of clean air action plan for non-attainment cities/million plus cities mentioned by NCAP/CPCB.
Providing capacity and institutional-building support to government departments and industries for improving their potentials for clean air actions.
Accelerating the clean air actions in more than 20 Indian cities via establishing and promoting a Clean Air Implementation Network (CAIN) in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
