Ramapati Kumar
Ramapati Kumar is CEED’s Founder and CEO and has an experience of more than 15 years in the field of social development. He is an MBA with specialisation in social development and has contributed on many issues, including Education, Hazardous waste and primarily on e-waste management, and was instrumental in supporting to frame rules for anti-dumping of waste from northern countries. His hobbies include reading and watching sports.
Abhishek Pratap
Abhishek Pratap is the Programme Director of CEED and has an experience of more than 12 years in the social sector. An expert in public policy and strategic planning, he has contributed significantly in areas of clean energy, climate change, environmental protection, trade, waste and international development finance. Previously, Abhishek was Senior Analyst with Greenpeace International and based in New Delhi. A Masters in environmental science from the University of Pune, Abhishek has worked with various organisations in the last 12+ years of his career from grass-root organisations to international campaigning organisations and public policy think-tanks; and developed public policies for sectors like solar energy, telecommunication, climate change and electronic waste. His core competency lies in long-term strategic planning, policy advocacy and enabling change for socially-just development. Abhishek enjoys fierce conversation on issues of politics, democracy and socially-just development. He enjoys listening to old classical melodies of Kishore Kumar and reading non-fiction biography of famous and not-so- famous personalities.
Ankita Jyoti
As CEED’s Senior Programme Officer, Ankita supports the research and documentation, multi-stakeholder engagement, capacity building and project implementation. She has also been involved in developing awareness and public campaigns on various environmental issues. With a masters’ degree in Environmental Science, Ankita has been working diligently towards the cause of saving the environment. She also loves to travel around and hoard on to souvenirs from her places of travel.
Faiyaz Iqbal
Currently working as CEED’s Media Officer, Faiyaz focuses on mobilizing media traction, conducting workshops for the media, developing media plans and responding to media requests. He is the point of contact for members of the press and other media representatives for any information dissemination from the organization. He has also been instrumental in mobilizing participants for workshops and volunteer programmes, network building, and various awareness drives. Faiyaz has been previously involved as Field Investigator for Ministry of Broadcasting (GOI) and other esteemed institutes. He has also worked as a Media Consultant with Greenpeace India and has served various institutions as a freelancer. Faiyaz holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. A poet by heart, Faiyaz loves to indulge in weaving shayari.
Imran Khan
Imran is CEED’s Public Outreach Officer. He engages in conducting social survey, data collection and community workshops for CEED’s various programmes. Imran has been previously associated with the Hospitality sector and holds experience in public outreach skills with various organisations in the development sector.
Naveen Kumar Mishra
Naveen Mishra is our Head of Operations. He brings with him vast experience of more than 9 years in several grassroots movements and issues ranging from youth and civic participation, public engagement, environment, energy and sustainable development, poverty and health. His work gave him opportunities to not only understand the complexity of a pluralist society like India but also to understand the important of political affirmative actions to improve the life of those at bottom of the pyramid.
Aanand Kumar
Aanand Kumar is our brilliant office assistant who makes sure that things are always up and running. He supports and maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications; maintaining office requirements and supplies and ensuring that we receive and send all out mail.
Munna Jha
Munna Kumar Jha is Head of Media and Political Advocacy at CEED and more than 10 years of experience in media and communications. An expert in strategic communication and a vivid political commentator of Hindi heartland’s political landscape, he has contributed significantly in delivering impactful and soulful stories on issues related to clean energy, energy access, air pollution, tribal rights, gender empowerment, marginalised’s rights and displacements. He was previously associated with Greenpeace India as Senior Media Officer for almost 6 years. He has also worked on DFID-funded PACS project on land reforms and “Navdanya”. A Post-graduate diploma in Journalism from Punjab Technical University, Munna works extensively with mainstream media houses. His core competency in developing long-term strategic communication for social issues and political advocacy. With strong socialist and idealistic thinking, Munna is strong supporter of egalitarian and utopian society and advocate for equity and justice in all aspect of life including economic empowerment and social entitlements. Munna enjoys eating and exploring various kind of folk cuisines in his free time. He likes traveling to unexplored regions and write his travel diaries which has a pungency of the rustic.
Pooja Kumari
Pooja is the Programme Officer- Clean Energy at CEED. She engages in research, documentation and program implementation under the Clean Energy domain at CEED. Pooja is involved in gaining public interest and awareness around the energy sector and find sustainable solutions for the same. With a masters degree in Energy Engineering, Pooja has previously been associated with Centre for Science and Environment. When not fighting for the environment, Pooja likes to place herself in the kitchen and experiment her culinary skills. She also loves to explore and travel to interesting places.
Pragya Shanker
Pragya is CEED’s Media Officer and provides media support to the various campaigns and programmes channeled by CEED. Spanning over 4 years of experience in the media industry, Pragya was formerly associated with Star TV as an Associate/Executive Producer. A recipient of the Smt. Karuna Singh Award, she calls herself a photographer by hobby and wishes to explore the world and capture her vision of places. The fact that CEED focuses on solutions rather than problems, inspires her to work with the organization.
Prakash Mishra
As our Accountant, Prakash supports all our accounting and documentation work. He is the focal point for ensuring all of the financial procedures. He has previously worked with KSJCO & Co. and holds a Graduate degree in Commerce. He is currently pursuing his final year of Chartered Accountancy and his hobbies include studying & traveling.
Ramesh Rajak
Ramesh is our sincere office assistant in Patna who is responsible for the smooth functioning of the office. He caters to all the basic office requirements and supplies, and maintains office operations. With a curious mind and intuitive soul, Ramesh has a knack to learn about new technologies.
